BIG

I've been convicted lately about the need to think BIG, dream BIG, and pray BIG.
God is BIG and He is honored when we engage Him in BIG endeavors worthy of His glory and honor.
So many times I've been guilty of the little god syndrome and then God steps in and reminds me of how BIG, AWESOME and FAITHFUL He is!!
Here's some examples:

--4.5 years ago we started Rock Bridge. We pondered meeting in spaces that held anywhere from 250 to 500 people. God put us in one that seats over 1100!

--When we had 80 members I thought we had peaked. I worried about finding new people and then connecting them. Shortly after that God pushed us over the 300 barrier in worship.

--Last year we seemed stuck at 550 in worship. I told a group of church planters that I thought we were losing our evangelistic steam. We didn't panic but we did pray. Now we've been in our longest period of sustained growth in our history.

When I get confused and worried it is usually because I am trying to be big and keep God small. I have learned that we basically have two choices:
--BIG me & little God
--BIG God & little me
We can't have it both ways. God doesn't work near pride or let humans steal or hide His glory ... He just becomes painfully absent. I've seen this over and over again in my life.

But the opposite is amazing! When I truly get right with God, when I get in a blessable position ... WOW! The BIG God shows up BIG time ... that is what I love, pray for and live for ... because when BIG God shows up lives get changed, eternities get altered, and no one is same!!
