Twas' the Week Before Christmas

I absolutely love Christmas!! Family get togethers, food, gifts, regifting, Dirty Santa, more food, shopping, some more food ... it's awesome!

When I was in the Navy I was at sea in the Indian Ocean during one Christmas ... how I missed being at home. However, we were south of the Equator so it was summer time. Our Captain got us all out on the helo. deck and we did skits, laughed, and then sang Christmas carols under a star filled sky ... it was incredible ... miles away from home but very close to God.

This week Beth and I will be taking a little vacation (Mon. - Fri.) for a late celebration of our 5-year anniversary. We're both excited and thankful for some time away together ... BUT we'll be back for an AWESOME Christmas Eve with our awesome Rock Bridge family -- regular services that morning (9 or 10:45 am) and then a special service @ 5:30 pm.
